tree bristels with sheer delight
the air is alive

we are all wild animals

cyclical encounters

life never fails to surprise me.  memories that come to the forefront of the mind by mere accidents.  because timing wasn't right, but now it is.  because of location, location, location. 

some people come in and out of my life like recurrent traveling business(wo)men with frequent flying miles and a  suitcase on wheels packed neatly and strategically.  some like international tourists, here only once in a lifetime furiously gathering souvenirs and snapshots to always savor that one time trip to a far off land that will never happen again.  some like the mailman, same time same place everyday without fail.

its comforting to know that some people will always be around, tho peripherally, no matter what.  even when you try to make plans, to see each other, and it never happens.

and also, joe's dog met a pig! talk about random encounters.

oh, blog, i'v missed you!

i know, i know... this new year was supposed to be the start of daily outfits, more updating, better banners, cooler pictures, etc etc etc.  and i really dont have an excuse because i got a new camera and everything, but time is really my most scarce commodity lately.

work is super busy and i have a big craft market i'm preparing for on the first weekend of february so there's lots of jewelry making lately.  my etsy has finally been launched and i'm trying to bulk up my inventory on that for valentines day.  (lots of new cute rings and stuff... that deserves a separate post, though!)

excuses aside, i will figure out a way to post on here at least once a day mon-fri (like i used to). 

so the point of this post...

a special edition how to:
ignore your blog

1) move apartments
2) which also means, longer commutes!
3) start more arts and crafts projects than you can remember
4) start doing yoga again (thank buddah!)
5) have half your closet packed away in boxes (so outfit posts wouldn't be any fun, anyway.)
6) organize your jewelry collection (a weeks long process)
7) take more pics, yet don't upload any to a computer let alone facebook let alone your blog
8) obsess about Coachella line up then when it finally comes up, bitch about lame headliners of Coachella line up
9) obsess about Coachella outfits/hairstyles/etc
10) do pointless post about nothing to hopefully start the inertia based habit of blog updates!

twenty eleven

Happy New Year!  i know i was supposed to start daily outfit posts... and i still planon doing so, but the last 5 days have been filled with dirty tissue, vitamins, and lots of blankets.  in other words, i'v been sick and not just hungover sick, like a real cold with dry red noses and raspy voice.

i'm back at work and have lots to do but need to do a quick update so here it is:

in the next week i'm moving back to my mom's place in order to save up money.  by spring, i hope to be in a nice new apartment somewhere between santa monica and venice with my lovely boyfriend. 

i don't usually do new years resolutions, but here are a couple things i need/want to do not just in 2011 but for my future in general:

keep all paperwork/mail/documents organized.  this is my biggest thing.  i can't even express to you how unorganized this all is and how badly i need to sort through mail that has been unopened sinze 2006 (yes, i told you, it's THAT bad!)

stay in touch with my family and friends.  responds to fb things, mail, texts, phone calls... i'm horrible with this and want to get better!  i promise that thing i was going to mail you last year will find its way to your mail box this year!

keep doing arts and crafts and anything creative.

purge clothes and possessions as often as i accumulate. 

remember to always appreciate everything/everyone for what it/they is/are.

enjoy what i do and do what i enjoy.  not always mutually exclusive.

also, i want to do a redesign for this blog, a new header, and like i said before, outfit posts!

ok, gotta run and do real work now.... brb.
